Shinichiro M. IwataMr. Iwata joined MCMAHON SEREPCA LLP in 2007, where he specializes in corporate transactions. Mr. Iwata obtained his JD from The University of Michigan Law School in 2006, where he was an associate editor for The Michigan Journal of Race and Law.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Iwata earned his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in 2003 from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where he double-majored in Finance and Economics. Mr. Iwata is fluent in spoken Japanese and proficient at writing and reading Japanese. Mr. Iwata’s interests include participating in sports (basketball, soccer, tennis), maximizing frequent flyer miles, and exploring different types of cuisine when traveling.
Katherine A. DebskiMs. Debski joined McMAHON SEREPCA LLP in January 2011, where her practice focuses on employment litigation, commercial litigation, and intellectual property issues. Ms. Debski has experience handling cases in state and federal courts involving a comprehensive array of claims, including breach of contract; workplace harassment; discrimination based on age, disability, sex, race, national origin and other protected categories; retaliation; violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act; wrongful discharge; wage and hour claims; and others.
Prior to joining McMahon Serepca LLP, Ms. Debski practiced employment law at a prominent Midwest firm, gaining experience in litigation and preventive client counseling. She is licensed to practice law in Michigan, Massachusetts, and California.
Ms. Debski obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan (1999) and her JD from The University of Michigan Law School (2002), where she was an associate editor for The Michigan Journal of International Law. She has completed academic internships in Seville, Spain and London, England. Her interests include triathlon training, coaching and tutoring youth, and hiking the wilderness trails of California.
